Wood Destroying Insects

Hey, guys. Good morning. Michael Conrad here with DILIGENT, and I wanted to chat with you about WDI – Wood Destroying Insects.

This is a big deal. Here in the South, we have a lot of different types of wood destroying insects. Termites, carpenter bees, carpenter ants, all sorts of things that are trying to get after our home. And this is just your gentle reminder that this is a big piece of the puzzle.

Our homes are made of wood. All of these things like to eat wood. Our area is filled with all sorts of different types of moisture. All of these bugs need moisture.

Make sure that you are encouraging your client and managing their expectations about WDI inspections, oftentimes called a termite letter. That needs to be happening at the same time as the home inspection.

If you have any questions, give our office a call.
